Athens, Greece

Athens seems to have always gotten negative reviews--too much heat, too much acid raid, too much urban sprawl. So, Dominic and I only planned for 48 hours and arrived in Athens with very low expectations….

….but we were totally blown away! We stayed in the so-called 'Athenian Riviera', about a 45 minute drive from the Acropolis. The city had bountiful cultural delights, great food, and the blend of 2013 urban with 800 BCE urban made for exploration of epic proportions.
