We have had a spectacular week driving, camping, and tramping our way south through New Zealand's northern island. Rain is in the forecast for next week, and I am secretly looking forward to the AirB&B indoor time with wifi to share photos of the jaw-dropping scenery we have been enjoying.
In the meantime, enjoy this pic of ovine obstruction, and a few other roadside intrigues:
A fabulous art cafe in Acacia Bay, with mosaics reminiscent of Gaudi...a little Park Guell on the shores of Lake Taupo.
A few quirky commercial critters we found...
And two of our favorite mountains so far. That's Mt. Doom of LOTR fame on the left—hiking it (Dom summitted!) was life altering, and I can't wait to give the experience the blog post deserves, but for now, we are off to the next camp site. Cheerio!
