Leaving the Tropics

We’ve been so focused on getting geared up and pumped up for our passage to New Zealand that a sad reality just now occurred to me…we’re leaving the tropics! So I’m going to take a break from cleaning the floors and making pie crusts (ok, to be honest it’s less of taking a break and more prolonging my procrastination: it’s almost 11 am, and I haven’t actually gotten started yet) to remember the most perfect of beaches in Makemo, where Dominic and I spent ten days basking in the sunshine and soaking in the shallows.
